Ekels. f. \/ Ano. 1784\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>Als jonge man in Parijs leerde Jan Ekels de Jonge (1759-1793)<br \/>\n17de-eeuwse Hollandse meesters als Metsu en Ter Borch waarderen,<br \/>\ndie specialisten waren in interieurs met een of twee figuren.<br \/>\nTerug in Amsterdam maakte hij dit schilderij, een voorbeeld van<br \/>\nhetzelfde genre. Het werk van Johannes Vermeer heeft Ekels<br \/>\nwaarschijnlijk nooit gezien.
